Join the HBA between January 1, 2013 - December 31, 2013 and receive one year of free membership to any one of the 27 sections. The HBA's 27 substantive law sections offer additional CLE programming, as well as the opportunity to develop contacts with local attorneys who share your areas of practice.*

Renew Your HBA Dues

To renew your 2012-2013 membership dues, click here to create your online account.
Past due renewing members must pay full year's membership dues and do not qualify for half price mid-year dues.

HBA Membership Dues
The HBA Fiscal year is July 1 to June 30. Each member's yearly dues shall be determined by the number of years that have passed since the date of the original license through June 30 of the current year.

Become An Annual HBF Supporter
HBA Members can also help support pro bono services in Harris County by including an optional and tax-deductible charitable donation to the Houston Bar Foundation with their HBA membership fees. Donation options provided below.

HBA Mid-Year Membership Dues
All attorneys applying for membership between January 1, 2013 and April 1, 2013 will pay the mid-year dues as listed below. Each member's yearly dues shall be determined by the number of years that have passed since the date of the original license through June 30 of the current year.                                                                                           

General Members
  Ten years or more $ 107.50
  Six to ten years $ 92.50
  Two to six years $ 80.00
  Less than two years  $  35.00
  Law Faculty Members $ 47.50
Government Attorneys (defined as full time employees of a government agency or office)
  Licensed over two years $ 47.50
  Less than two years $ 35.00
Judicial Members
  Full time judges only $ 47.50
Non-Resident Members
  Members who maintain their office outside the Houston metropolitan area - 50 mile radius $ 27.50
Retired Members
  Members who have retired $ 22.50
Emeritus Members
  Members who have been licensed to practice law in any jurisdiction for a period of 50 years or more and/or have reached the age of 70 $ 0.00
Houston Young Lawyer Members
  Persons licensed to practice law for a period not exceeding five years and who belong to the Houston Young Lawyers Association at the time that person joins the HBA. This is a one time discount. $ -5.00
