Tickets On Sale Now - 64th Harvest Party, November 12
The 2012 Harvest Party has been set for Monday, November 12, from 7:00-10:00 p.m. at River Oaks Country Club. The Harvest Party is the main annual fundraising event for the Houston Bar Foundation. This year's underwriting goal is set at $600,000.

The 2012 HBA Judicial Preference Poll mails today to all HBA members. The return deadline is 5:00 p.m. on October 5, 2012. Please exercise your right to indicate the candidates of your choice. The Judicial Preference Poll is not an endorsement of any candidate.

Special Olympics Volunteers Needed on September 24
The Special Olympics Greater Houston Golf Tournament will be Monday, September 24, 2012, from 8:00 am to Noon at Cypress Lakes Golf Club, 18700 Cypresswood Drive, Cypress, TX 77429. Portrait Unveiling for 190th Court
A portrait of the Hon. Jennifer Walker Elrod will be unveiled in a ceremony at 4:00 p.m. on September 25, 2012, recognizing her service on the 190th District Court. The ceremony will be held in the 190th Courtroom of the Civil Courthouse, 201 Caroline, 12th Floor. All attorneys, members of the judiciary and other colleagues are cordially invited to attend.
Campaign for the Homeless Clothing Drive, October 8-12
The HBF/HBA's 2012 Coat and Warm Clothing Drive will collect gently-used coats, sweaters, and other clothing items that will be distributed to Houston's homeless shelters. The HBA is also partnering with Dress for Success Houston to collect interview-appropriate suits and black handbags. Items may be delivered to the HBA office between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, from October 8-12. For more information, please contact Claire Nelson at 713-759-1133 or
