Summer Associate
Luncheon
The HBA Minority Opportunities in the Legal Profession
Committee will host the 10th Annual Summer Associate Luncheon on
Thursday, June 5, 2008 at The Houston Club. Registration begins at 11:00
a.m. and the luncheon begins at 11:30. The luncheon is open to all
attorneys and summer clerks with any law firm or legal department.
Tickets are $50 each and must be purchased by 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 3. Tables of eight are available for $400 and tables
of 10 are available for $500. To order tickets, print an order form from

Houston Ballet Offers HBA Members Ticket Special on Both Nutcracker, La
Sylphide
Houston Bar Association members can receive a 50 percent discount on tickets to
selected performances of La Sylphide and The Nutcracker when they
purchase tickets for both. To receive the discount, purchase tickets to La Sylphide
for the 2:00 p.m. performance on June 14 and The Nutcracker for the 7:30 p.m.

Free Admission Offered for Radio Music Theatre Performances Entire Month of June
Throughout the month of June, HBA members and their guests
can enjoy a free evening of family-friendly comedy and laughter at Radio Music
Theatre, 2623 Colquitt, near Richmond and Kirby. To order tickets, call

admitted free to any available performance at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday or 10:30
p.m. on Saturday during the entire month of June. Now playing is “Electile

volunteer members for the 2008-2009 bar year. Those committees include the
Adopt-A-School Committee, the Campaign for the Homeless Committee, the John
Eikenburg Law Week Fun Run, the Golf Tournament Committee, the Habitat for
Humanity Committee, the Historical Committee, the Interprofessional Drug
Education Alliance, the Law & the Media Committeee, the Law Week Committee, the
Lawyers Against Waste Committee, the Lawyers for Literacy Committee, and the

July 22-23
 Do you need a new photo
for the 2009 HBA Pictorial Roster? Mark your calendar for July 22-23, 2008 and
plan on coming by the HBA office, 1001 Fannin, Suite 1300, between the hours of
9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to have a new photo made at no charge. An additional day
may be set for another location, so watch future Bulletins for more information.
No appointment is necessary and photos take only a few minutes.
