2015 Law Week Contests
Deadline: Friday, March 6 at 5 p.m.
Law Day 2015, May 1, highlights how the Magna Carta embodies the simple but enduring truth: No one, no matter how powerful, is above the law. This year marks the 800th Anniversary of the Magna Carta, an international symbol of the rule of law and inspiration for many basic rights, including due process, habeas corpus, trial by jury, and the right to travel. While the HBA calls its celebration “Law Week,” it encompasses much more.
The HBA’s annual Law Week Poster, Essay and Photography contests run through March 6, with all area schools invited to participate. Cash prizes for students and their teachers are generously underwritten by: 3B Studios; Brent Perry; Continental Court Reporters, Inc.; Core Legal; IST; Kiersted; Bill and Elizabeth Kroger; The Pratz Simmons Group of UBS; and Stratos Legal Services.
