HBA Membership Dues
The HBA Fiscal year is July 1 to June 30. Each member’s yearly dues shall be determined by the number of years that have passed since the date of the original license through June 30 of the current year.

HBA Become an Annual Supporter
HBA members can also help support pro bono services in Harris County by including an optional and tax-deductible charitable donation to the Houston Bar Foundation with their HBA membership fees. Donation options provided below.

Ten years or more $220.00
Six to ten years $189.00
Two to six years $164.00
Less than two years $72.00
New Licensee (Passed Bar Exam in May 2014) $0.00
Law Faculty Members $98.00
Government Attorneys
(defined as full time employees of a government agency or office)

Licensed over two years $98.00
Less than two years $72.00
Judicial Members Dues
Full time judges only $98.00
Non-Resident Members Dues
Members who maintain their office outside the Houston metropolitan area – 50 mile radius $57.00
Retired Members Dues
Members who have retired $46.00
Attorney Member (70 yrs or More) Dues
Members who are the age of 70 years or more $110.00
Emeritus Members Dues
Members who have been licensed to practice law in any jurisdiction for a period of 50 years or more $0.00
Houston Young Lawyers Members Dues
Persons licensed to practice law for a period not exceeding five years and who belong to the Houston Young Lawyers Association at the time that person joins the HBA. This is a one time discount. $-5.00
