The Mentor / Mentee Program pairs new attorneys with more experienced attorneys on an informal basis for the purpose of providing one-on-one guidance and advice to the newer attorneys (mentees.) A senior attorney will volunteer to serve as a mentor to a less experienced mentee for at least a period of one year, during which time the mentor and mentee are encouraged to meet on a monthly basis for discussions on mutually agreed topics.

The mentor will be encouraged to share experiences and provide counsel on such topics as professionalism, law practice economics and career advancement. The mentee should enter into the mentor relationship with the goal of career enhancement and professional development. The program is not designed to be a substitute for legal research, continuing legal education or to provide job hunting opportunities for new lawyers.

Mentors must have been licensed at least five years. Mentees are attorneys licensed three years or less.
