Recent Priorities and Developments at the EPA Region 6 Office

SPEAKERS:

James McGuire

James McGuire is Regional Counsel for U.S. EPA Region 6, covering Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. James previously served the public as the environmental director at the City of Dallas and as general counsel to Dallas Water Utilities. Prior to his roles in government, James practiced environmental law at a large law firm. James received a B.A. in English and B.S. in Earth & Ocean Sciences with highest honors from Duke University; an M.S. in Geological Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin; and J.D. from Emory University School of Law. James is a Fellow at SMU’s Hunt Institute of Engineering and Humanity, and also serves on the Advisory Committee for The University of Texas’ Energy and Earth Resources Graduate Program.
