Tax Problems of the Rich and Famous

Lance Stodghill will discuss how these celebrities and others got in trouble with the IRS and how they (sometimes) tried to get out of it. The presentation uses high-profile cases to illustrate some entry-level tax controversy issues as a means to discuss how to help clients avoid similar issues or address them when they happen. He will address the implications of the Treasury Department Circular 230 in the context of advising clients.

CLE: 1.5 hours MCLE credit, .25 hour ethics credit.

No pre-registration is required. Written materials are available for up to $15. The CLE Department makes these written materials available after many of its seminars and institutes.
