The cover of the book What Do You Do With a Voice Like ThatAttorney members of the Houston Bar Association will read to 5th graders in 100 elementary schools across Harris County in honor of Constitution Day on Tuesday, September 17, 2019. Our attorneys will read is What Do You Do With A Voice Like That: The Story of Extraordinary Congresswoman Barbara Jordan by Chris Barton. At the end of the program, the new hardback book will be presented to the school library as a gift from the Houston Bar Association.

We can schedule 2 readings, back to back, at your school with up to 50 students per reading. To request a reading for your school, submit the form below (or send in this printable form) by August 23 or until all spaces are filled. The first 100 schools to register will be able to participate. Feel free to share with other school contacts within Harris County school districts.
