The Zoom-era of law practice has ushered in a new set of ethics and professionalism challenges for lawyers on top of enduring ones. The HBA Professionalism Committee is proud to present an esteemed panel that will identify these common and new ethics and professionalism pitfalls for attorneys to avoid disciplinary proceedings as well as tips on how to handle problematic or “pink flag” clients. Our panel consists of HBA President Jennifer Hasley, who maintains a trial and appellate practice focused on attorney disciplinary issues and served as Assistant Disciplinary Counsel for the State Bar of Texas; Melisa Jordan, Regional Counsel for the State Bar of Texas; and Douglas Richmond, who leads loss prevention issues and consults his law firm clients on professional responsibility as Managing Director of Aon Professional Services, a leading insurance broker for law firms.
