We will discuss whether leave for abortion-related health care is protected by federal law in Texas; whether leave documentation could cause liability for employers under the Texas Heartbeat Act; Legislation that may restrict what employers may do with respect to facilitating access to abortion-related health care; and Potential HIPAA regulations that could further limit information covered employers are able to disclose.
