AI in Retrospect: Insights and Impacts on the Legal Community

This program will explore the evolution of AI in the legal field over the past few years, reflecting on the lessons learned and the transformative impact AI has had on the practice of law. I will address both the challenges and opportunities AI presents, offering insights to guide the profession forward. It will discuss the ethical challenges law firms and lawyers have faced in using AI, particularly maintaining client confidentiality, avoiding bias in AI-driven legal tools, ensuring transparency and accountability in AI’s decision-making processes, and addressing the limitations and potential risks of relying on AI for legal work.
