The purpose of this CLE is to convey practical tips learned through extensive summary judgment practice. The topics covered in this CLE include, but are not limited to, deadlines, writing styles, how to begin drafting, contents of the specific sections of the motion, documents to attach, proving up summary judgment evidence, drafting orders, setting the motion for hearing/submission, and the differences between traditional and no-evidence motions for summary judgment. This CLE is particularly tailored to young lawyers seeking to gain practical insight into the summary judgment process.
