Section Focus

Two speakers, a man and a woman, stand at a podium in a corner, facing the viewer's right. In the foreground is a Christmas tree. Adjacent to the speakers, hanging on the wall, is a projected screen. The Real Estate Law Section offers monthly lunch meetings during its fiscal year (September through June). Speakers present topics ranging from leasing, development, loan transactions, landlord/tenant issues, legislative updates and other relevant real estate issues. CLE credit of 1.0 hour is given for attendance at each presentation.

The Section participates in and contributes to several community based fundraising campaigns including Habitat for Humanity, Texas C-Bar, and Historic Records Preservation. Monetary scholarships are awarded to a student at each of Houston’s law schools.
