The Timothy Bowne Fellowship provides a $3,000 grant to current law students (1L or 2L) who work in an unpaid summer internship for a governmental entity in the greater Houston area this year and express an interest in labor and employment law.
Students are eligible for consideration if they have:
1. completed at least one semester of law school;
2. secured an unpaid summer internship with a governmental entity in the greater Houston area in 2026; and
3. submitted a resume and one-page cover letter explaining their interest in working in labor and employment law.
Any interested law student should submit a resume and one-page cover letter to Dorian Vandenberg-Rodes at drodes@eeoc.net, with a copy to scavanaugh@eeoc.net. The deadline to apply is May 1, 2026, and the recipients of the grant will be notified by May 29, 2026.
